It\u2019s a pretty big age range, but there are some amazing stats about this demographic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> For example, 56% of millennials work more than 40 hours a week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Are millennials really the laziest generation? They don\u2019t seem to think so.<\/p>\n<p>In fact,\u00a0<span>66% of millennials identify as workaholics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To get a better understanding of millennials modern work habits, FreshBooks compiled<span>\u00a0the Millennial Workaholics Index, which polled a representative sample of 1,000 American freelancers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Here\u2019s what they discovered:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"56_of_Millennials_Work_More_Than_40_Hours_a_Week\"><\/span><strong>56% of Millennials Work More Than 40 Hours a Week<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>They\u2019re 8% more likely to work 40+ hours than those above 45! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>1 in 5 millennials say they work over 60 hours in a typical week\u2014and 70% say they\u2019ve worked on the weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"32_of_Millennials_Have_Worked_in_the_Bathroom\"><\/span><strong>32% of Millennials Have Worked in the Bathroom<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>That\u2019s the percentage who say they\u2019ve invoiced a customer while \u2026 multitasking. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Another 27% have invoiced a customer on a date, proving millennials are constantly on the grind even when they\u2019re not in the office.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"39_of_Millennials_Work_Overtime_Because_They_Love_Their_Jobs\"><\/span><strong>39% of Millennials Work Overtime Because They Love Their Jobs<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>While 50% say they work more because they need the money, a solid 2 in 5 are passionate about their work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This proves millennials don\u2019t just work because they have to\u2014they need to find meaning in their work.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Weirdest_Times_Millennials_Work\"><\/span><strong>The Weirdest Times Millennials Work<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As freelancers, we know that the working day can stretch &#8211; but the different between the working day and the weekend is increasingly becoming blurred millennial freelancers:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span>On the weekend (70%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>When they\u2019re sick (63%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>On their birthdays (63%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Over the holiday break (51%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>On New Year\u2019s Eve or Day (48%)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There&#8217;s plenty more freelance statistics in the infographic below.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Are you a millennial looking to go freelance?
