<\/span><\/h2>\nA Business Profile on Instagram will help your customers connect to your business When converting to a Business Profile, you’ll be able to include additional information about your business on your profile. For example, you’ll be able to add a phone number, an email address and your business’s physical address. Keep in mind that you must include at least 1 contact option.<\/p>\n
When you add contact information, a Contact<\/b> button will appear near the top of your profile. When people click that button, they’ll see options like Get Directions<\/b>, Call<\/b> and Email<\/b>, depending on the contact information you provided.<\/p>\n
Additionally, when you convert to a Business Profile, you’ll get access to Instagram Insights. These insights will help you learn more about your followers and how much your audience engages with your content.<\/p>\n
<\/span>Why should I switch to an Instagram Business Profile?<\/span><\/h2>\nThere are many new features you’ll receive when you convert to a Business Profile.<\/p>\n

You’ll receive access to Instagram Insights. Instagram Insights provide information on who your followers are, when they’re online and more. Business Profiles will show a category directly below the profile image. This category is the same as the category of your linked Facebook Page.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

<\/span>What are the downside of switching to an Instagram Business Profile?<\/span><\/h2>\nConverting to a Business Profile will limit your ability to take certain actions on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Once you’ve linked a Facebook Page to your Business Profile, you’ll only be able to share your Instagram posts to Facebook through that Page. You won’t be able to share to another Facebook Page or to a Facebook profile.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

If you’d like to switch the Facebook Page you’re able to share Instagram posts to, you’ll need to convert back to a personal account. Once you’ve converted back, you’ll then need to set up your Business Profile again and select the new Facebook Page you’d like to use.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

Business Profiles can’t be set to a Private Account.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
<\/span>How to convert to an Instagram Business Profile<\/span><\/h2>\nTo convert to an Instagram\u00a0Business Profile:<\/p>\n
\n- Go to your profile and tap .<\/li>\n
- Tap Switch to Business Profile<\/b>.<\/li>\n
- On the Connect Your Facebook Page <\/b>screen, you’ll see all of the Facebook Pages you’re currently an admin on. Select the Page you’d like to associate with your Business Profile on Instagram. Learn more about Page roles.<\/li>\n
- On the Set Up Your Business Profile<\/b> page, review your business’s contact information, make any changes and tap Done<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
