Description
A slide-by-slide planning template for presenting a communications strategy to a senior leadership team. It covers what to put on each slide and how to frame recommendations for a senior audience.
What’s included
- CSV template file (opens in Google Sheets or Excel)
- Recommended 10-12 slide structure with guidance for each slide
- Advice on framing strategic recommendations for senior audiences
- A pre-presentation preparation checklist
Who it’s for
Useful if you have a completed strategy and want to present it clearly to a leadership team. Not useful if the strategy itself is still unclear, presenting a weak strategy in a well-structured way does not make it stronger. Also not the right fit if the client has a specific presentation format they require you to use.
If it works
If you plan the structure before opening a presentation tool, you will spend less time rearranging slides and more time on the substance of what you are saying. Senior audiences respond better to presentations that get to the point quickly and make it clear what they are being asked to decide or approve.
The way you present a strategy does not change whether the strategy is right. A well-structured presentation of a weak strategy is still a weak strategy.
