Who it’s for
Useful if you are running more than five stakeholder interviews and want a consistent structure that makes synthesis manageable. Not useful if you only need one or two conversations, an informal structure works better there, or if the interviews need to be formal research with consistent methodology, this is a consulting tool, not a research instrument.
If it works
If you use the note-taking template during each interview and then run the synthesis framework across all of them, you will have a defensible account of what stakeholders said and where the patterns lie. That is usually more useful than a summary of individual conversations.
The quality of the findings depends on how open the stakeholders are, not on the question bank. Some people will tell you what they think you want to hear regardless of how the questions are framed.
