Referral tracker

$0.00

A tracker to manage your referral relationships: who to stay in touch with, when you last connected, and what opportunities have come through.

Description

A tracker for managing referral relationships: who to stay in touch with, when you last contacted them, and what opportunities have come through.

What’s included

  • CSV template file (opens in Google Sheets or Excel)
  • Referral relationship tracker for up to 30 contacts
  • Relationship type, last contact date, and referral history columns
  • Follow-up prompt and next action planner

Who it’s for

Useful if you get most of your work through referrals but manage those relationships inconsistently. Not useful if you are looking to build a referral network from scratch with people who do not yet know you, this tracker manages existing relationships, it does not create new ones.

If it works

If you review it monthly and contact anyone you have not spoken to in 60 days, you will stay present with the people most likely to refer work to you. The contacts who refer most are usually former clients or close peers who know your work well, not a large general network.

Referrals depend on trust and relevance, not contact frequency alone. Staying in touch is necessary but not sufficient. If your referral contacts are not sending work, it is worth understanding why before assuming the answer is more contact.

Before you download

  • This is a CSV file. Open it in Google Sheets or Excel. It will not work as a document or a PDF.
  • After downloading, you will find the file in your account under My Downloads.
  • You are getting a licence to use and adapt this for your own work. You cannot sell, redistribute, or share it with others.
