Who it’s for
Useful if you know your income is uneven but have not sat down to look at the numbers clearly. Also useful if you are thinking about moving toward more retainer work and want to model what that would actually require. Not useful if your income is already stable and diversified and you just want more of it, the problem there is sales, not structure.
If it works
If you fill it in accurately and use the scenario section honestly, you will end up with a clearer picture of your income risk and a specific target to work toward. Most people find the current-state section more confronting than they expected. That is the point. If the numbers feel fine, the template has still done its job.
It will not tell you how to get more clients. It will not solve a slow pipeline. It shows you where you are and where you want to get to. The gap is yours to close.
