Who it’s for
Useful if you find it difficult to recognise your own progress, or if imposter syndrome regularly causes you to undervalue your work. Also useful when preparing for a rate increase or pitching for a bigger project and needing to remind yourself what you have actually done. Not useful as a performance management tool or a substitute for addressing a genuine skill or experience gap.
If it works
If you add to the wins log every Friday and save client feedback at the time you receive it, you will build a record that is much harder to dismiss than memory alone. Most people underestimate how much positive feedback they have received until they see it collected in one place.
This will not eliminate imposter syndrome. It reduces the frequency with which you have no evidence to counter it. The evidence is there; this makes it visible.
