Who it’s for
Useful if you find it difficult to push back on scope additions without feeling you are being difficult, or if you have a client who regularly expands scope informally. Not useful if your problem is that your original scope was not specific enough, in that case the better fix is in the statement of work rather than in the response to change requests.
If it works
If you use the minor revision template consistently, clients learn that additional requests are acknowledged but not automatically absorbed. That shapes behaviour over time. The scope creep pattern template is the one to use when you notice it happening repeatedly, not when you are already frustrated.
Some clients will continue to push on scope regardless of how clearly you respond. These templates document the conversation professionally. What you do if the client continues to push is a separate decision.
